Community Climate Action Advisory Group Community Climate Action Advisory Group

March 25, 2025As East-West Gateway moves forward with the development of a Regional Climate Action Plan (RCAP), we are forming a Community Climate Action Advisory Group. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, March 25 from 2-3pm, likely to be followed by one meeting in April and one meeting in May, all taking place on Zoom.
Join Zoom meeting:
https://ssg-coop.zoom.us/j/84080935597?pwd=qvITgBHjdc0oxCbopbi0CnWc8S1ViO.1The attached sheet contains more information about the Regional Climate Action Plan and how it fits in with other local initiatives. It is important to consider community priorities – including financial security, safety, and health – and develop recommendations that respond to those priorities, while also contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases. The Community Climate Action Advisory Group will play a critical role in our regional climate planning efforts by:
* Providing insights on how proposed climate actions impact historically underserved communities.
* Shaping recommendations that address the needs of low-income and disadvantaged communities.
* Helping guide implementation strategies that ensure climate solutions benefit everyone in the St. Louis region. The committee will meet 2-3 times during the planning process, with the potential for ongoing engagement beyond the RCAP’s completion. These meetings will provide a space for open dialogue where your expertise and lived experiences can inform meaningful, community-driven climate solutions.
Thanks so much for your time,
