Illinois Valley is in need of a part-time individual to perform general office cleaning duties. This position is Mon-Fri at the Gillespie Admin office. This will be a temporary position through 6/30/2023 working approximately 12-15 hours per week. Hours are flexible.
Will sweep, mop, or scrub floors. Empty all trash receptacles.
Thoroughly clean restrooms and kitchen areas, including disinfecting and cleaning wash basin and toilets. Replace tissue and soap as needed.
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces. Disinfect all common touch surfaces.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Successfully pass a background check.
Must possess valid driver’s license and current insurance.

Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation (IVEDC) is in search of a Full-Time Teacher for its Head Start Program in White Hall.
Teach children, ages 3-5, with structured activities in a classroom setting.
Plan and prepare lesson plans and activities that contribute to children’s growth and development.
Assess children on an ongoing basis utilizing approved assessment tools.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Other degrees considered but individual must have a minimum of 21 semester hours in child development courses with willingness to obtain 30 semester hours within 2 years.
Prior training and experience in comprehensive child development programs is desirable.
Ability to relate positively to children and parents. Ability to work as a team member.
Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

This is a full-time position during the normal school year (August to May). Would be eligible for unemployment during the two months off with no disruption in benefits.

IVEDC is in need of hiring a Certified CDL Instructor to complete the driving training portion of CDL Certification for 5-6 individuals. Instructor will complete Behind-the-Wheel CDL Certification training for each individual. This will be a short-term contracted position. Instructor will train each individual for 4 hours on a Saturday (or other flexible hours that work around both instructor and trainee’s schedule).
Behind-the-Wheel Instructor Requirements:
Provide behind-the-wheel training
Register and self-certify on the Federal Training Provider Registry
Must hold a CDL of the same class or higher as our drivers (our drivers hold class B), and with all endorsements necessary (passenger, school bus) to operate the commercial motor vehicle (CMV) for which training is to be provided
Must meet all applicable State qualification requirements for CMV Behind-the-Wheel instructors
Must meet one of these:
Have a minimum of two years’ experience operating a CMV requiring a CDL of the same (or higher) class, or the same endorsement; or
Have a minimum of two years’ experience as a BTW CMV instructor.
Electronically submit training certificates of the new drivers on the Training Provider Registry by midnight of the second day after the driver completes the behind-the-wheel training
Maintain records (tests, certificates) of drivers that have been trained

Tri County Rural Transit is hiring for the position of Part-Time Transport Driver.
Provide safe and courteous transportation to passengers utilizing program vehicles. Assist passengers on and off the van as needed within reason. (Drivers will not lift passengers in/out of wheelchairs. Do not endanger the safety of the passenger or yourself during assistance. The transportation program operates a door-to-door service; do not enter the homes of passengers.)
Keep proper documentation of such service and maintenance.

Drivers must pass the Federal Transit Administration Drug & Alcohol testing administered by Mid-West Truckers Association through our agency.
Drivers must meet current licensing and certification requirements.

Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation is looking to hire a part-time meal delivery driver/substitute cook for our Benld Senior Center.
This will be a part-time position based out of our Benld Senior Center. The primary responsibility of this position will be meal deliverer but will also be cross trained as a cook. Training for food management certification will be provided. Once certified in food management, this position may occasionally fill in as a substitute cook.
Obtain the daily meal delivery list from staff at the meal site and deliver those meals using an agency vehicle.
Accept and document donations from participants and turn in all donations on a daily basis.
Help staff load individual filled trays (hot and cold) into coolers for home delivery.
Attend nutrition staff meetings as required.
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Ability to drive. Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage.
