Requirements:
- Must hold an age appropriate Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or be enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree, OR be enrolled in a CDA program to be completed within two years of hire, and must have appropriate competencies.
- Possess “Parents as Teachers” credential or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Prior training and experience in comprehensive child development programs is desirable.
- Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and carry adequate vehicle insurance.
- Reliable means of transportation and an interest in a position requiring substantial local travel.
- May be required to obtain an Illinois School Bus Driver’s Permit.
- Maintain certifications as required.

Responsibilities:
- Will focus directly on the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
- Will assure compliance with DCFS regulations and provide direction to the staff responsible for providing safe and healthy care for the children.
- Will assist with recruiting and enrollment.

- Will also substitute teach when needed.
Requirements:

Illinois Valley is in need of a part-time female shift supervisor for the Coalfield Rest Area off of I-55. This position does require transporting client workers from Gillespie, IL to the rest area. Transporting clients will take place in a company vehicle. The shift will be 1:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Some weekend and holiday shifts will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Will be a working supervisor performing duties necessary to maintain grounds and building including the supervision and coordination of workers activities.
- Assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
- Train new workers, record hours worked, and perform personnel duties as required.
- Be familiar with all safety procedures and policies and instruct employees in safe work habits.
- Transport workers from Gillespie, or other specified pick up point to worksite.
- Keep all storage areas clean and orderly, posting designated areas for supplies.
- Perform minor and routine maintenance on buildings and equipment, and notify immediate supervisor concerning need for major repairs.
- Responsible for mowing and trimming, using tractors, power mowers, and weed trimmers in all designated areas.

Essential Functions:
- Provide safe and courteous transportation to passengers utilizing program vehicles. Assist passengers on and off the van as needed within reason. (Drivers will not lift passengers in/out of wheelchairs. Do not endanger the safety of the passenger or yourself during assistance. The transportation program operates a door-to-door service; do not enter the homes of passengers.)
- Keep proper documentation of such service and maintenance.
- Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean and neat at all times.
- Will accurately input required data on the tablet/software. Will follow the tablet/software as instructed and will notify dispatch of any problems or discrepancies.
- Will accurately collect all fares and turn in at the end of each work day to the designated staff member and fill out a money collection form.
Qualifications:
- Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage. Must be capable of operating the vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Must have “clean” driving record for minimum of 3 years.
- Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and a High School graduate or equivalent.
- Drivers must pass the Federal Transit Administration Drug & Alcohol testing administered by Mid-West Truckers Association through our agency.
- Drivers must meet current licensing and certification requirements.
- First Aid and CPR certification will be required and provided within the first 3 months of employment.
