Responsibilities:

  • Repair and/or install windows, doors, insulation, attic vents, and/or other items needed to improve energy efficiency in accordance with work orders.
  • Apply caulking and/or weather-stripping to doors and/or windows whenever needed to lessen energy loss in accordance with work orders.
  • Perform minor roof, foundation, or other repairs in accordance with work orders.
  • Complete required paperwork in an accurate, legible, and timely manner.
  • Communicate with supervisor on status of assigned homes, concerns, etc.
  • Interact with clients in a positive and professional manner.
  • Will attend all trainings required of the position, including those for certifications, paid for by agency.
  • Will travel to locations throughout the agency’s service area in an agency vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.

Illinois Valley is looking to hire an Educational Assistant / Bus Monitor for their Otterville Head Start School.

Responsibilities:

  • Will provide assistance in the Head Start classroom to children ages 3-5 years old.
  • Will monitor children when being transported on school bus.
  • Must verify that the children are secured safely in their seats.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood work experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Will  perform all required assessments, in addition to coordinating with staff to assure the ISPs are implemented properly.
  • Will assist the Site Supervisor, as needed, in the overall management and supervision of the Jerseyville CDS Program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or Recreation (or other degree approved by DHS).
  • One-year experience supporting or interacting with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to relate, communicate, and work well with individuals with disabilities.
  • QIDP certification and previous experience with supervision is required.

  • Provide safe and courteous transportation to passengers utilizing program vehicles. Assist passengers on and off the van as needed within reason. (Drivers will not lift passengers in/out of wheelchairs. Do not endanger the safety of the passenger or yourself during assistance. The transportation program operates a door-to-door service; do not enter the homes of passengers.)
  • Keep proper documentation of such service and maintenance.
  • Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean and neat at all times.
  • Will accurately input required data on the tablet/software. -Will follow the tablet/software as instructed and will notify dispatch of any problems or discrepancies.
  • Will accurately collect all fares and turn in at the end of each work day to the designated staff member and fill out a money collection form.

Qualifications:

  • Maintain a valid Illinois Driver’s License and sufficient insurance coverage. Must be capable of operating the vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Must have “clean” driving record for minimum of 3 years.

  • Drivers must pass the Federal Transit Administration Drug & Alcohol testing administered by Mid-West Truckers Association through our agency.
  • Drivers must meet current licensing and certification requirements.

Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation is looking to hire a part-time meal delivery driver/substitute cook for our Benld Senior Center.

This will be a part-time position based out of our Benld Senior Center. The primary responsibility of this position will be meal deliverer but will also be cross trained as a cook. Training for food management certification will be provided. Once certified in food management, this position may occasionally fill in as a substitute cook.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain the daily meal delivery list from staff at the meal site and deliver those meals using an agency vehicle.
  • Accept and document donations from participants and turn in all donations on a daily basis.
  • Help staff load individual filled trays (hot and cold) into coolers for home delivery.
  • Attend nutrition staff meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to drive. Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage.

Illinois Valley is needing to hire a part-time individual to perform both general office cleaning duties and other basic clerical tasks. This position is Mon-Fri at their Gillespie Admin office. It is approximately 3 hours per day and the hours are flexible.

Job Description

  • Will sweep, mop, or scrub floors. Empty all trash receptacles.
  • Thoroughly clean restrooms and kitchen areas, including disinfecting and cleaning wash basin and toilets. Replace tissue and soap as needed.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces. Disinfect all common touch surfaces.
  • Clerical tasks such as filing, copying, shredding, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Successfully pass a background check.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and current insurance.
  • Must be able to perform duties with limited supervision.
