Responsibilities:

  • Repair and/or install windows, doors, insulation, attic vents, and/or other items needed to improve energy efficiency in accordance with work orders.
  • Apply caulking and/or weather-stripping to doors and/or windows whenever needed to lessen energy loss in accordance with work orders.
  • Perform minor roof, foundation, or other repairs in accordance with work orders.
  • Complete required paperwork in an accurate, legible, and timely manner.
  • Communicate with supervisor on status of assigned homes, concerns, etc.
  • Interact with clients in a positive and professional manner.
  • Will attend all trainings required of the position, including those for certifications, paid for by agency.
  • Will travel to locations throughout the agency’s service area in an agency vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a high school diploma/GED.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
  • Must successfully pass background and reference checks.
  • Experience in home repair/construction preferred.

Illinois Valley is in need of hiring a part-time Building and Grounds Supervisor (Female) for the Coalfield Rest Area off of I-55. This position also requires transporting client workers from Gillespie, IL to the rest area. Transporting clients will take place in a company vehicle. The shift will be 3 days/week 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. Some weekend and holiday shifts will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be a working supervisor performing duties necessary to maintain grounds and building including the supervision and coordination of workers activities.
  • Assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
  • Train new workers, record hours worked, and perform personnel duties as required.
  • Be familiar with all safety procedures and policies and instruct employees in safe work habits.
  • Transport workers from Gillespie, or other specified pick up point to worksite.
  • Keep all storage areas clean and orderly, posting designated areas for supplies.
  • Perform minor and routine maintenance on buildings and equipment, and notify immediate supervisor concerning need for major repairs.
  • Responsible for mowing and trimming, using tractors, power mowers, and weed trimmers in all designated areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Experience in janitorial and building maintenance and use, and maintenance of commercial grounds equipment preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of basic managerial skills such as organizing, planning and supervising staff/operations.
  • Willing to work day or evening shift, holidays and weekends.
  • A neat and clean appearance is required.
  • Ability to work with and supervise persons with disabilities.

Tri County Rural Transit is hiring for the position of part-time Transport Driver. Pay based on experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide safe and courteous transportation to passengers utilizing program vehicles. Assist passengers on and off the van as needed within reason. (Drivers will not lift passengers in/out of wheelchairs. Do not endanger the safety of the passenger or yourself during assistance. The transportation program operates a door-to-door service; do not enter the homes of passengers.)
  • Keep proper documentation of such service and maintenance.
  • Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean and neat at all times.
  • Will accurately input required data on the tablet/software. Will follow the tablet/software as instructed and will notify dispatch of any problems or discrepancies.
  • Will accurately collect all fares and turn in at the end of each work day to the designated staff member and fill out a money collection form.

Qualifications:

  • Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage. Must be capable of operating the vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Must have “clean” driving record for minimum of 3 years.
  • Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and a High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Drivers must pass the Federal Transit Administration Drug & Alcohol testing administered by Mid-West Truckers Association through our agency.
  • Drivers must meet current licensing and certification requirements.
  • First Aid and CPR certification will be required and provided within the first 3 months of employment.
