Illinois Valley is in need of a TEMPORARY Site Director for their Head Start location in White Hall, IL. This is an exciting possibility for the right candidate!
Responsibilities:
- Will focus directly on the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
- Will assure compliance with DCFS regulations and provide direction to the staff responsible for providing safe and healthy care for the children.
- Will assist with recruiting and enrollment.
- Will conduct site meetings and parent meetings.
- Will also substitute teach when needed.
Requirements:
- Requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood OR a related degree with at least 21 semester hours in early childhood courses.
- Must be DCFS Site Director Qualified.
- Candidates without the required education/certification will not be considered.
This is a TEMPORARY position starting on November 1st and lasting a minimum of 12 weeks.

- Will primarily assist the teacher with classroom learning activities and attend to the children’s needs.
- Will also serve as bus driver to transport children to and from the center on a daily basis and for various outings. (A bus monitor also rides to attend to children.)
Requirements:
- Background in Early Childhood Development (18 credit hours).
- OR Child Development Assistant Certification or willing to complete within 2 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Should possess an Illinois School Bus Driver Permit or be willing to obtain one if hired.
This is a full time position during the normal school year (August to May). Would be eligible for unemployment during the two months off with no disruption in benefits.

Tri County Rural Transit is hiring for the position of part-time Transport Driver. Pay based on experience.
Essential Functions:
- Provide safe and courteous transportation to passengers utilizing program vehicles. Assist passengers on and off the van as needed within reason. (Drivers will not lift passengers in/out of wheelchairs. Do not endanger the safety of the passenger or yourself during assistance. The transportation program operates a door-to-door service; do not enter the homes of passengers.)
- Keep proper documentation of such service and maintenance.
- Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean and neat at all times.
- Will accurately input required data on the tablet/software. Will follow the tablet/software as instructed and will notify dispatch of any problems or discrepancies.
- Will accurately collect all fares and turn in at the end of each work day to the designated staff member and fill out a money collection form.
Qualifications:
- Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage. Must be capable of operating the vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Must have “clean” driving record for minimum of 3 years.
- Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and a High School graduate or equivalent.
- Drivers must pass the Federal Transit Administration Drug & Alcohol testing administered by Mid-West Truckers Association through our agency.
- Drivers must meet current licensing and certification requirements.
- First Aid and CPR certification will be required and provided within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities:
- Repair and/or install windows, doors, insulation, attic vents, and/or other items needed to improve energy efficiency in accordance with work orders.
- Apply caulking and/or weather-stripping to doors and/or windows whenever needed to lessen energy loss in accordance with work orders.
- Perform minor roof, foundation, or other repairs in accordance with work orders.
- Complete required paperwork in an accurate, legible, and timely manner.
- Communicate with supervisor on status of assigned homes, concerns, etc.
- Interact with clients in a positive and professional manner.
- Will attend all trainings required of the position, including those for certifications, paid for by agency.
- Will travel to locations throughout the agency’s service area in an agency vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess a high school diploma/GED.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Must successfully pass background and reference checks.
- Experience in home repair/construction preferred.
