Responsibilities:
- Creates billing reports using customer interface or portals.
- Prepares and submits reimbursement requests/vouchers.
- Prepares deposits, and records all receipts.
- Ensures that receivables are recorded, tracked, and collected promptly.
- Prepares sales tax report and remits.
- Monitors daily cash balances.
- Maintains petty cash fund.
- Performs additional accounting duties as required by the Accounting Manager.
- Prepares and submits financial status reports to management.
- Responsible for monthly closing procedures performed per checklist.
- Computer skills include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer/Chrome/Edge.
- General GAAP knowledge.
- Interact with staff, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Comply with all agency policies and financial procedures, including all internal controls.
Requirements:
- Experience equivalent to OR an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business – Administration.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is preferred.
- Working with a not for profit organization is a plus.
- Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with people at all levels of business.
- Medical Billing background preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare breakfast and lunch for Head Start Program which serves children ages 3-5.
- Complete menu schedules on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and itemize food invoices, and submit to the agency fiscal department per established time frames.
- Maintain proper safety and sanitary conditions.
- Supervise and coordinate other program personnel assigned to kitchen/dining room area.
- Wash dishes, tools and utensils used to prepare food items per Health Department regulations.
- Clean kitchen and dining area, restrooms, classrooms and other areas as designated by the Site Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Prefer at least one year experience in ordering food and supplies, and in preparing and serving meals in a facility serving the public.
- Shall have a Food Protection Manager certification (or other required certification) or be willing to obtain one within three months of employment.
- Ability to drive. Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage.
- Must clear required background checks.

- Maintain records of all health services provided
- Provide training and technical assistance to staff, classroom personnel, volunteers, and parents

- Make home visits to families to discuss health problems
- Organize and lead the Health Services Advisory Committee
- Conduct on-site visits to Head Start Centers and Home-based programs

Essential Functions:
- Provide safe and courteous transportation to passengers utilizing program vehicles. Assist passengers on and off the van as needed within reason. (Drivers will not lift passengers in/out of wheelchairs. Do not endanger the safety of the passenger or yourself during assistance. The transportation program operates a door-to-door service; do not enter the homes of passengers.)
- Keep proper documentation of such service and maintenance.
- Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean and neat at all times.
- Will accurately input required data on the tablet/software. Will follow the tablet/software as instructed and will notify dispatch of any problems or discrepancies.
- Will accurately collect all fares and turn in at the end of each work day to the designated staff member and fill out a money collection form.
Qualifications:
- Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage. Must be capable of operating the vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Must have “clean” driving record for minimum of 3 years.
- Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and a High School graduate or equivalent.
- Drivers must pass the Federal Transit Administration Drug & Alcohol testing administered by Mid-West Truckers Association through our agency.
- Drivers must meet current licensing and certification requirements.
- First Aid and CPR certification will be required and provided within the first 3 months of employment.
