Illinois Association of Community Care Program Home Care Providers (IACCPHP)

The In-Home Care Program provides services to clients age 60 and over. These services offer the senior citizen the opportunity to remain in his or her home as an alternative to inappropriate or premature institutionalization.  The In-Home Care Program provides clients with general non-medical support, personal care, and daily living chores.   Such services include assisting with self-administered medication, performing/assisting with bathing, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, etc. No nursing or health care services are provided. The purpose of these services is to maintain, strengthen, and safeguard the functioning of individuals in their own homes when no responsible and capable person is available. Eligibility is based on need and income, considering such things as: physical condition, mobility, and accessibility of friends and/or relatives. There is no fee for the client.
