IVEDC is seeking qualified candidates for the positions of:
Executive Director – Gillespie Administrative Office (Full-time) – The Executive Director is responsible for the overall planning and administration of the agency, including: recommending plans/policies to the Governing Board to achieve the Agency’s goals and objectives, establishing structures to carry out the programs, implementing policies with strict ethical propriety, and representing IVEDC in the community. In addition, the Executive Director will involve the community in agency efforts, maintain good public relations, and coordinate agency plans with other community activities and will assure compliance with federal, local, and state funding requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelors or advanced degree, preferable in public administration, business, finance, social services or a related field; comprehensive knowledge of social service programming, business administration, and board policy-making procedures; experience in financial management, policy and personnel administration, and program planning; leadership, coaching and relationship management experience.
In-Home Care Aides – Macoupin County (Part-time) – Will assist senior citizens in their homes with household chores, meals, errands and other daily living activities. Must have reliable transportation, possess a high school diploma. Contact Amy Penzotti at email@example.com Click Here
QIDP/Site Manager – Jerseyville (Full-time) – The QIDP/Site Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the agency’s Jerseyville location to assure high quality program/services facilitation, while also serving as an active QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) for our client population. Will supervise employees, including performance, schedules, time sheets etc. Will oversee facility operations and maintenance and monitor expenditures to maintain budget limits. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and experience in management and supervision. Current QIDP certification preferred or must have willingness to immediately obtain. Strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
Teachers – Otterville and White Hall (Full-time) – Teach children ages 3-5 with structured activities in a classroom setting at our Head Start facility. The Head Start teacher will plan and prepare lesson plans and activities that contribute to children’s growth and development and will assess children on an ongoing basis utilizing approved assessment tools. Will also interact with parents. Associate or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education. Other degrees are acceptable if they include 21 hours in early childhood related classes.
Home Visitor – Jersey, Greene and Macoupin County areas (Full-time, full year) – Work with a minimum of twelve Head Start children, ages birth to three, in their homes with a planned curriculum. Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or possess a CDA credential.
Educational Assistant – Carlinville (Part-time) – Provide assistance in the classroom to children who have been identified as having a disability or educational concern. May serve as a bus monitor. Must be able to communicate effectively with children with special needs and their parents. Must be 21.
