IVEDC is seeking qualified candidates for the positions of:
Weatherization Crew Member (Gillespie) – Will Repair and/or install windows, doors, insulation, attic vents, and/or other items needed to improve energy efficiency in accordance with work orders. Apply caulking and/or weather-stripping to doors and/or windows whenever needed to lessen energy loss. Perform minor roof, foundation, or other repairs. Interact with clients in a positive and professional manner. Will travel to locations throughout the agency’s service area. (Full-time)
(2) Tri County Rural Transit Drivers (Jerseyville) – Will provide accessible transportation to the residents of Greene, Jersey and Calhoun Counties. Will assist passengers on and off the vehicles. Provide safe and courteous transportation to our passengers, while arranging required service and maintenance on our vehicles. Will accurately input required data on the data/software. Must have a valid driver’s license, good “clean” driving record for minimum of 3 years, proof of insurance, must pass Federal Transit Administration Drug & Alcohol test. Also, First Aid and CPR certification will be required and provided within the first three (3) months of employment. Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent. Substitute Teacher/Program Assistant (Gillespie) – Will substitute in Head Start Centers in the capacity of a teacher, teacher, aide, bus driver/monitor, or other position for which qualified and will fulfill all duties of the position assigned. Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood OR a related degree with at least 21 semester hours in early childhood courses. (Full-time)
In-Home Care Aides (Shipman) – Will assist senior citizens in their homes with household chores, meals, errands, and other daily living activities. We will work around your schedule! GENEROUS MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT! $11.00/hour. Must have reliable transportation and high school diploma/GED. (Part-time)
Female Building and Grounds Worker (Rest Areas near Highway I-55) – Will keep building clean and orderly, performing any of the following duties: sweep, mop, or scrub floors and walls in lobby. Thoroughly clean women’s restrooms including disinfecting and cleaning wash basin and toilets. Replace tissue and soap as needed. Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces of building interior and exterior. Keep rest area free of any debris. Empty all trash receptacles as needed and clean exterior of same. (Part-time)
QIDP (Jerseyville & Gillespie) – The QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) will be responsible for development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) for adults with developmental disabilities. They will also perform all required assessments, in addition to coordinating with staff to assure the ISPs are implemented properly. The QIDP will assist the Site Supervisor, as needed, in the overall management and supervision of the Gillespie CDS Program. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or Recreation (or other degree approved by DHS), one-year experience supporting or interacting with persons with developmental disabilities, ability to relate, communicate and work well with individuals with disabilities. Also, QIDP certification and previous experience with supervision is required. (Full-time)
DSP (Jerseyville & Gillespie) – The Direct Support Professional will supervise, teach, and support individuals with developmental disabilities (18 years and older) utilizing individualized plans at our day training center. May drive program participants on a regular or as needed basis. Part-time, 25-29 hours per week. DSP certification is required, must be 21 years old, possess a high school diploma/GED, and possess a valid driver’s license. (Part-time)
