In-Home Care Aides – Macoupin County (Part-time) – Will assist senior citizens in their homes with household chores, meals, errands and other daily living activities.  Must have reliable transportation, possess a high school diploma.  Contact Amy Penzotti at apenzotti@ilvalley-edc.org Click Here 


2 DSP (Direct Support Professional) Gillespie and Jerseyville (Part-time) – Will supervise and support individuals with developmental disabilities.  Will follow individualized program plans.  DSP certification is preferred.  Must be 21 and possess a high school diploma/GED.


Homecare Supervisor – Gillespie (Full-time) –   Responsible for the day-to-day tasks of the agency’s Senior In-Home Care Program, which provides non-medical services those 60 and over in their home. Will assign Homecare Aides to client homes, assuring that all services and hours are completed. Will hire and train Aides and assure that on-going training is provided. Will also assure that all client and worker paperwork/documentation is completed and that files are maintained as required. Candidates should have a compassion for the elderly. Must be a multi-tasker, detail oriented, and possess adequate computer skills. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.


Rural Transit Driver – Jerseyville (Part-time) –  Will transport public and clients, perform/arrange required service on vehicles, maintain proper documentation. Will assist passengers on and off the vehicles if needed. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history. Must be at least 21 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent.


Educational Asst./Bus Monitor – Benld (part-time) –   Provide educational assistance in the classroom to children who have been identified as having a disability or educational concern. Will also monitor students when being transported.  CDA certificate preferred or willingness to obtain within two years.


Head Start Site Director – White Hall (Full-time during school year) –  Will oversee the Head Start site, ensure safe and smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and DCFS licensing standards.  Will substitute in any capacity when needed.  Associate or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education preferred. Other degrees are acceptable if they include 30 hours in early childhood related classes.  Previous supervisory experience strongly desired.


Substitute Teachers – Benld, Carlinville, Virden, Brighton, Otterville, Hardin, White Hall (As Needed) –  Will teach Head Start children, ages 3-5, on an “as needed” basis.   Associate or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education preferred. Other degrees are acceptable if they include 21 hours in early childhood related classes.
